Caroline County’s Unified Command Response to COVID-19 

  • Caroline County has partially activated our EOC (Emergency Operations Center)
  • The EOC is a joint operation center established for County departments and partner agencies to work together and meet regularly; to coordinate and communicate consistent responses to the community during a public emergency
  • The EOC is led by the Director of Emergency Services, Anna Sierra, Scott LeRoy, Caroline County Health Officer, and the Superintendent of Public School, Patty Saelens.

What is COVID-19?

  • COVID-19 is a new coronavirus that has not been previously identified.
  • COVID-19 is spread from person-to-droplets from coughs and sneezes of a person who is actively sick. 
  • COVID-19 can also be transmitted through surfaces.
  •  Disinfect your homes and wash your hands
  • Symptoms include mild to severe respiratory illness with fever, cough homes and wash your hands.

What should I Do to Plan and Prepare? 

Prepare and use these simple tips for precaution:

  • Clean your hands with soap & water
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Clean and disinfect your home
  • Avoid crowds, especially in poor ventilated spaces
  • Avoid all non-essential travel including plan trips, and cruise ships

If you have symptoms:

  • Contact your primary care physician
  • Call 9-1-1 if you are having an emergency
