Hazardous Household Waste

Hazardous Household Wastes (HHW) are only accepted during specific events. HHW include but are not limited to:
  • Automotive batteries
  • Automotive chemicals such as transmission and brake fluids
  • Batteries - Household
  • Cleaning chemicals including bleach and rust remover
  • Electronics
  • Fluorescent Lights
  • Gasoline and heating oil
  • Glue
  • Household batteries
  • Insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and poisons
  • Lead-Based Paint
  • Oil and antifreeze (may be recycled)
  • Oil-based paints and stains
  • Paint thinners
  • Small engines
  • Solvents and degreasers
  • Varnishes and lacquers

The service is limited to mid-shore residents of Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot Counties (not businesses).
